Jesus Church is a young church for people of all ages and cultures. Through vibrant services and the close fellowship of house groups, we put Jesus at the very centre of our lives and seek to follow him in all areas of life. That’s when you really live!
We have open Sunday services called ”Sunday Celebration” every Sunday in Ballroom. Here you will experience God through fresh and devoted worship, inspiring teachings and edifying fellowship. We hope you’ll drop by!
The heart of Jesus Church is at the Jesus House in Kongens gt. 1, in the city centre of Oslo. Here we gather for church parties and prayer meetings, and this is where you’ll find the leadership and administration of the church. The Jesus House is also home of several other Christian organisations which in different ways are linked to Jesus Church.
Jesus Church was started by Anne and Stephan Christiansen in the fall of 2000 and has been a part of the Norwegian Pentecostal movement since 2004.
The Sunday Celebration is the weekly service of Jesus Church. We get together to worship God, listen to his Word and strengthen one another. A typical Sunday Celebration is full of life with contemporary worship music and passionate teachings.
Audio sermons from Sunday Celebration are available here
During the 5 o’clock service, special children’s services are held for the 4 to 12-year-olds. This is called Jesus Kids, and is very popular among the youngsters, featuring lots of life, activities, songs and messages specially aimed at children.
There is also a children’s room available for those under 4 years old, where the parents can accompany them. There are toys available and there will be simple activities and songs.
Sunday Celebration takes place in Ballroom (Nedre Vollgt 11, Oslo) every Sunday:
5 p.m. – Norwegian Speaking Service (English translation available)

Jesus Church is a two-winged church. That means that we both believe in the need for corporate church gatherings and for getting together in smaller groups. These small groups we call House Churches and they meet regularly in the homes for mutual edification, sharing a meal, sharing the Word and praying, having fun and supporting each other in the challenges of everyday life. The House Churches are organised geographically and it is quite possible that there is one gathering close to where you live.
To join a House Church or get more information, you’re welcome to contact us by e-mail, phone or by talking to us after a Sunday Celebration.
